Layout tips for your scrapbook

HOW TO LAYOUT A SCRAPBOOK

Sometimes it is hard to get going when you first start out scrapbooking. The basic rule is to keep things simple so that you do not get overwhelmed. The first key is to get all of your scrapbooking supplies in one place. Some of the basic scrap book supplies that you will want to have are – paper – scissors – and adhesives. You will need to determine what size of page you will be putting your scrapbook photos on – how many photos will your want to put on a page and what kinds of embellishments will I want to use if any.

Some scrap book supplies that you can purchase are Power Pages by Me & My Big Ideas – These are books that have scrapbook pages already designed – All you do is crop your photos and stick them on the already done page, then put it in your scrapbooking album.

Try to keep your scrapbook pages simple. Your pages do not have to be fancy. Remember simple is better than not done. The most important thing is to get your pictures into safe scrap booking albums.

You will want to determine how many pictures that will fit on each scrapbooking page (this will vary with the size of scrapbook album that you use). Of course a 12"x12" album will hold more pictures than an 8 ½"x11" album if you do not crop them.

You can overlap scrapbook photos or cut them into different shapes such as circles – hearts – ovals – etc. Or you can cut around a silhouette with scissors to give your scrapbook pages a different look and feel.

Try arranging your scrapbook photos at different angles on the page; they do not have to be all in a straight line.

Make sure that you always journal on your scrapbook pages, weather you just put a title on your page or a caption under each photo – be sure to put at least a who and when.
