While typically our lovely Irene Tan (aka. Scrapperlicious) posts on Mondays, I am hijacking this Monday. I hope no one catches me… With that in mind, lets get to business. Today I wanted to make you guys a very cute, pretty quick mini album using the Clear Scraps House Mini Album and some of the new releases from My Little Shoebox. Keep reading for details about our very first crop spot giveaway!!!!
Front page:
First peel the protective plastic off of the acrylic shape (you might want to do this on all your pages right now because I know I’ve been known to forget. Oops.) and arrange part of the die cut paper so that it overlaps roughly half of the front. Here I doodled a little on the edges, but not too much seeing as you end up covering a lot of the paper. Cut out a house from the MLS overlay and adhere it on the bottom, left corner. For the “main” flower take two of the largest matching flowers from you selection to create the base of your flower. Place a glue dot in the center of the “front” of one of your flowers. Fold that flower in half so the glue dot touches itself on the other side. Do this with your other coordinating flower. Once you do that, place another glue dot where you would like to position the center of you “main” flower then place the two halves of the flowers over the glue dot so that the edges touch. Arrange your other flowers and centers in an appealing fashion. Write your title on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out. Put a few 3d foam dots on the back of the title and place it on the page. next, fill in the white portion of the house overlay you attached earlier with “diamond” stickles. Once the stickles to dry, outline the acrylic shape with scotch quick dry adhesive and cover using Martha Stewart’s fine glitter in amethyst.
Page 2 & 3:
It would be a good idea to wait for the front page to dry before continuing to page 2, but that’s just my silly way of doing things.
So, page 2: outline the edge of the house with zip dry and adhere it to the side “follow the cloud” PP with the cloud side showing through to the front and the yellow stripes on the back. Once dry, cut the shape out with your X-acto knife. Be sure to use the edge of the PP because you will need the other side for another page. Cut & adhere a 4x3” photo mat from your white cardstock for a 3-3/4x2-3/4” photo. Be sure to place you photo where you wont poke your eye out like i, um, did...
Page 3: Cut a strip from the “Down The Street” PP that contain a row of houses. Include the borders around the houses too. Your cut should be 6-1/4” long. Outline the piece of PP with zip dry and adhere it to the bottom of the page. Doodle a little on the PP if you like using the borders as your guide. Cut & adhere, a 4x3” photo mat from your white cardstock vertically and adhere a wallet sized photo horizontally across and off the edge of your photo mat. Write your journaling on the exposed part of the white cardstock. Add a couple flowers with centers in the upper right hand corner. Doodle a few clouds with your “diamond” stickles.
Page 4 & 5:
Page 4: Once the stickles on page 3 have dried, adhere the pink eyelet ribbon in a straight line on the bottom portion of the page. Cut & adhere, a 4x3” photo mat from your white cardstock vertically and adhere a wallet sized photo horizontally across and off the edge of your photo mat. This should cover any of the photo edge that might show through from page 3. Write you journaling where the photo mat is exposed. Arrange some flowers with centers along the left hand side of the photo mat.
Page 5: Cut several clouds from you overlay and adhere them to the page using zip dry. Cut & adhere, a 4x3” photo mat from your white cardstock vertically and adhere a wallet sized photo horizontally across and off the edge of your photo mat. Write your journaling on the remaining exposed cardstock. Add a piece of flair in the lower right corner of the photo mat. Finally, outline a few of your clouds using stickles in “diamond”.
Page 6 & 7:
Page 6: once page 3 is dry, outline the shape in zip dry and glue it to the orange Bazzill Bling. Once dry, cut the shape out using your X-acto knife. Cut a 4x3” photo mat from your white cardstock for a 3-3/4x2-3/4” photo. Add flowers from your prima tin and the sassafras blossoms using the crystal stickers and large jewel brads as flower centers in a cascading arrangement, leaving a few places empty. In those empty places draw small dots with your stickles in “diamond”.
Page 7: Place two wallet sized photos on the close to the left of the mini album. Write your journaling on a small piece of white cardstock and add it to the right of your photos, over lapping the photos a slight bit. Next add flowers and flair as you like. Lastly, draw little dots of varying sizes in "diamond" stickles.
The BACK:
Once the glue has dried on page 7, outline the album in zip dry and adhere to the remaining portion of the “Follow the cloud” PP so that the stripes show through to page 7 and the clouds are on the very back of the mini album. Once the glue has dried, cut out the shape using your X-acto knife. Doodle on the clouds if you like using a black pen and maybe even some of you “diamond” stickles.
