 This week in Scrapbooking 1-27-12

This is CHA week.  Vendors have already jumped the line or are showing stuff in Anaheim.

Here are two tutorials that we missed by Wendy Vecchi:
The jist of this one is if you want to use rock candy crackle paint on glass, coat it with matte glue and seal first and
The jist of this one is the same as above except you won't see the cracks until you rub coffee archival ink on them, heat set and wipe off.  This crafting thing, they really don't give PhD's out for it.

We don't carry the brush stroke stamps
This is very nice, but the technique destroys the stamp.  Maybe one day when there's some solution...

Check out this store from Small Studio, which is going to open in February.
Awesome looking, no?  One question.  Where's the product?

Here's a masculine Valentine's card from Michael Strong.
The moral of the story is if you're going to make a masculine Valentine's Card, don't use red or pink.

Uh oh.
Looks like Janet took Webster's pages' signature cream colored backgrounds for her new Bazzill line.  She also couldn't decide between grid or chevron, so why not both.

Here's another item in our cozy collection:
Garbage can cozies.  Either the artist has the sewing skills of a Louis Vuitton seamstress or their photoshop skills are really exemplary

The Huffington Post has helpfully posted the nutritional value of Girl Scout cookies.
This cookie has as many calories as a bottle of Coke.  Oh yeah, thanks for that.

Here's a nifty idea if you use glue
It's a candle holder.

Yours Artfully recently bought the illustrated works of Shakespeare for cheap
Sudden interest in the classics?  Desire to rediscover the bard?  No.  Fulfilling the wish of half the High School students in America, she's going to tear it up and make it into art.  Tom Clancy out sells the Shakes and yet, Pomona College doesn't have a Professor of Tom Clancy.  You'd have to be an ivory tower academic to understand why.

See the blotchy stamp on the left?:
It make these unbelievable cards:
Wow, we've got to practice.  By the way, the stamps are from QKD.  We've got to investigate.

The nicest thing about CHA, is the layouts and projects that you see are just like French Haute Couture
No one is ever going to be wearing this in public.

Just as no one is really going to make a picture less layout
Or squeeze this into an album.

By the way, the dirty secret on that model's intense gaze.

She's holding her breath.  Ouch.
Done.
