Need Rest (Layout)

Looking for another tutorial using Tim Holtz Kraft Resist Paper Stash? You've come to the right place. Today I will be sharing a step by step tutorial based on the above layout.

Here are the steps.

1) Use a white cardstock as the base for this layout.

2) Cut out a thin rectangular piece from one of the kraft resist paper. Then, ink it with Forest Moss distress ink. Attach it on the right of the layout.

3) Cut out another big square piece from another kraft resist paper and ink its edges with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Attach it in the middle of the layout.

4) Cut out another big rectangular piece from a third piece of kraft resist paper. Use a flourish mask and a clock mask to mask the images on this paper with Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Also cover the rest of the paper with distress ink. Then, sprinkle some water onto this paper and dab up any excess water with a towel. Attach this piece in the middle of the layout.

5) Use the Picket Fence Distress Stain and create rows of dots horizontally on the left of the piece in step (4). Let it dry. Use some alphas sticker to form some words on the left end of the rows.

6) Distress the edges of the photograph and attach it on the right of the layout. Hand stitch a circle on the lower left corner of the photograph. Also hand stitch a line vertically on the left of the layout.

7) Add a strip of ribbon vertically on the right of the layout. Detail its ends with a rhinestones.

8) Attach a book plate on top of the photograph. Ink up a small square piece of kraft resist paper with Picket Fence Distress Stain and attach it to this book plate. Dress it up with Stickles.

9) Punch two rows of holes below the photograph. Use two thin ribbons to create some lacing through the holes. Add a muse token on its left end and attach a strip of lace under the lacing.

10) Add some flowers on the lower right of the photograph. Mist the big flower with some glimmer mist and dress up the flowers with some gold Stickles.

11) Cut out two butterflies from the kraft resist paper and ink it a little with distress ink. Attach both butterflies to the left of the layout and dress them up with Stickles and rhinestones.

12) Use some alpha stickers to form the title.

I really hope you enjoy today's tutorial and start inking!

xx Irene Tan
