 Enjoy The Fun

Hello everyone! It's Irene here and time for us to work on another layout. This week, we will be creating this layout above which features the fun Free Bird line by Authentique. Let's start!

Here are the steps.

1) Trace a die cut shape onto a cardstock and cut it out. Ink it's edges with distress ink. Mist some Mustard Seed glimmer mist and Walnut Stain distress ink on its right and upper left corner. Let it dry.

2) Hand stitch a huge square around the layout.

3) Tear out a piece of Kraft Glassine paper and crumpled it. Then attach it on the layout and hand stitch around its edges. Also cut out another piece of green polka dots pattern paper and distress its edges. Attach it on the right of the Kraft Glassine paper and hand stitch around it too. Also cut out a wide strip from the brown pattern paper and attach it horizontally below the two pieces earlier.

4) Distress the edges of the photograph and ink it with distress ink. Attach it on the bottom right of the layout. Cut out another two strips of pattern paper and attach it horizontally on the lower left of the photograph. Also attach a strip of ruffle ribbon there.

5) Cut out a small square piece from the white and blue floral pattern paper and attach it to the upper left of the layout. Hand stitch around it's edges. Cut out a strip from a brown floral pattern paper and attach it horizontally on top of the earlier piece. Also attach two strips of ribbon on top of this paper strip.

6) Cut out some circles and rings and attach them randomly on the layout. Use some 3d dots or foam adhesives to create dimension and detail them with stitches and Mystic Green Stickles.

7) Add a bulb and a chipboard binoculars in the ring on the lower left of the photograph.

8) Use some sticker alphas to form the words "Enjoy" and "The". To create the word "Fun", I've used some grungeboard alphas and ink it with frayed burlap distress stain. Then, I've misted it with Blue Raspberry Perfect Pearl Mist.

9) Lastly, I've used a black pen to draw some journaling lines on the lower left of the layout.
That's it for today's tutorial. Check back next week for another new tutorial from me!

xx Irene Tan
