Christmas Joy (Layout)

Happy New Year everyone! I know that it's way past Christmas but I think all of us have tons of Christmas photographs captured and they are lying somewhere waiting for us to scrap them.

Therefore for this month, I'll be sharing a couple of Christmas layout tutorials with you all. Today's tutorial is based on the above Christmas layout featuring Anna Griffin.

Here are the steps.

1) Cut out a huge circle piece from the green pattern paper and use it as the base for this layout. Use a strip of black/silver tinsel ribbon and a tiny attacher to attach the tinsel around the edge of the base.

2) Cut out a rectangular piece from a beige with vintage prints pattern paper and distress its edges. Ink it with distress ink and attach it horizontally on the bottom of the layout.

3) Cut out another wider rectangular piece from the christmas tree pattern paper. Distress and ink it too. Attach it vertically towards the right of the layout.

4) Add a wide strip of black sheer ribbon horizontally on the layout.

5) Distress the edges of the photograph and attach it in the middle of the layout. Add two cut out tags on its right. Also add a token with a white mini brad there too.

6) Cut out some flourishes from the beige flourish pattern paper and ink its edges with distress ink. Attach it to the bottom of the layout with foam adhesives or pop dots.

7) On the right of the layout. also add a memo pin with a cut out tag.

8) Use a rosette die-cut and cut out some rosettes with some cardstock. Mist the rosettes with Brick glimmer mist and ink its edges with distress ink. Attach all three rosettes to the layout. Cut out some snowflakes from the tree pattern paper and attach them to the middle of the rosettes and detail with a rhinestone. Dress up the rosettes with green Stickles. On the bottom of the top and right rosettes, attach some rhinestones to create some drop down gems. Also cut out two small snowflake to attach on the left of the layout.

This is a very fun and fast layout to creat. Hope you all try it.

xx Irene Tan
